How to Add an Item 🤔

 

User Authority

The following roles can add an item to the menu:

  • Owner ✅

  • Manager ✅

  • Operator ❌


 

Important Note for Stores Integrated with Foodics

If your store is integrated with Foodics, any edits to the menu—such as item names, prices, option groups, or modifiers—must be done directly through the Foodics dashboard.

Changes made in Zyda will not apply to your store and must be updated in the main system (Foodics).

Steps to Add an Item

1- Go to Menu and select Items.

2- Select the category you want to add the item to, then click Add Item.



Fill in the item details at the top right:

Info Section:

  • Item Name: Enter in English & Arabic

  • Description: Add item description (optional)

  • Category: Choose the categories where the item will appear

  • Selected Branches: Choose the branches where the item will be available




Item Tracking:

  • None: Item is always available unless manually changed

  • Inventory: Set a specific quantity; item becomes unavailable when sold out

  • Capacity: Quantity is automatically renewed daily

Modifiers Section:

  • Variants: Add different sizes, colors, or shapes and set their prices

  • Variant Image: Upload images for each variant

  • Option Groups: Add optional extras or add-ons for the item

  • Fulfillment: Select available order types (Delivery, Pickup, or Both)

  • Preparation Time: Customize preparation time per variant if needed

  • Special Notes: Enable extra notes from customers (optional or required)


If you set Special Notes as Required, customers will not be able
to complete checkout unless they add a note.

You can also customize the note prompt text based on what you need from the customer (for example, special instructions or preferences) by changing the default “Add Instructions” wording.

3- After completing all details, click Save at the top right to add the item.
