How to connect Facebook conversion API (CAPI) 🤔

What is Facebook conversion API?

It’s a tool provided by Meta (Facebook previously) that helps you send interaction data from your website — like purchases or any important actions — directly to Facebook, without relying entirely on the traditional Pixel. Learn more here .  


Before, Facebook Pixel alone was used to track visitor activity. But with new privacy restrictions — like iOS updates and browser privacy settings — some data no longer reaches Facebook accurately. 

That’s where the importance of Conversion API comes in. As it allows you to make sure that Facebook still receives complete and accurate data about important actions on your website — like purchases, sign-ups, or any key conversions — even if the customer has disabled tracking in their browser.


Connecting Facebook Conversion API Through Zyda

Normally, connecting your website to Facebook Conversion API isn’t that simple. It usually requires coding, server setup, and technical configurations.

But now that you’ve activated Conversion API, your website sends the conversion data directly from the server to Facebook — so Facebook sees all 10 purchases 👌

To connect Facebook CAPI, follow the steps below:

1- Go to "Marketing"

2- Go to "Tracking & Social Media"

3- In order to connect Facebook Conversation API , you will have to connect Facebook Pixel and you can check "How to set Facebook pixel" in order to connect it

4- Click on "Connect" next to Facebook conversion API and paste the Facebook token code


How to get the Facebook token code

1- Go to business.facebook.com

2- Click on "All Tools"

3- Scroll down and click on "Events Manager"

4- On the left, click in "Data Sources"

5- Click on "Settings"

 
6- Click on "Generate access token"

7- Copy the generated code

8- Paste the Facebook token code on Zyda’s dashboard & click on "Connect"
