Add a branch and set its opening hours

For: Owners, Operations Where: Setup > Branches > Locations Available: Web dashboard · All countries Needs: Owner or Operations role Each branch is a place customers order from. It has its own address, phone numbers, opening hours, and its own choice of delivery and pickup. How it works Setup > Branches > Locations shows one card for each branch. Each card shows: - Public location if customers can visit the branch, or Private location if they cannot, such as a central kitchen. - A Delivery badge and a Pickup badge: Available, BUSY, Closed or Unavailable. - A line when the branch is paused, for example "Paused until 14 Oct, 18:30", or when a pause is booked for later. Customers can order from a branch only during its opening hours, and only the ways you turn on. The Ordering section of a branch: who can visit, pickup, delivery and beach ordering Add a branch 1. Go to Setup > Branches > Locations. 2. Select Add Business Location. 3. Enter the Branch name in English and Arabic. 4. Enter the Branch phone number. 5. Under Customer service number, keep Same as the branch phone number ticked, or untick it and enter another number. Customers call this number about their order. 6. Under Pin on the map, search for the place or tap the map to move the pin. 7. Enter the Address in English and Arabic, the Block, Street, Building and City. 8. Optional: add Notes for drivers, for example which entrance to use. 9. Under How customers get orders, turn on what the branch offers. See "Choose how customers get orders" below. 10. Set the Opening hours. 11. Select Create branch. The next page says the branch "is ready". Select Add delivery zones so customers can order delivery from it. See Add a delivery zone. When a branch costs extra Your plan includes some branches: 2 on Starter (Standard) and 5 on Growth. Ring has no limit. You can add more. Each extra branch has a monthly price. Before you create an extra branch, a note above Create branch says what it costs. It says the monthly price and what you pay today for the rest of your plan term. Choose how customers get orders The Ordering section of the branch has these switches: | Switch | What it does | |---|---| | Customers can visit | Shows the branch as a place customers can come to. | | Pickup | Customers order online and collect the order here. It shows only when Customers can visit is on. | | Delivery | Customers get the order at their address. The branch also needs delivery zones. | | Beach ordering | Customers order from the beach and get it at their numbered umbrella. | With Pickup on, choose How customers collect: - In the branch: customers come in to collect. - From their car: you bring the order out to the car. - Both: customers choose at checkout. Longest time for an order now Set Longest time for an order now in minutes. When preparation plus delivery takes this long or longer, customers cannot order delivery for now. They can only schedule it for later, and only if scheduled orders are on. A new branch starts at 360 minutes. Set the opening hours 1. Under Opening hours, choose Every day, then the From and To times. 2. To set different hours by day, choose Custom per day. 3. Tick each day the branch opens, and set its times. Untick a day to close the branch that day. A closing time at or before the opening time runs into the next day. For example, 18:00 to 02:00 closes at 2 AM. Change a branch 1. Go to Setup > Branches > Locations. 2. On the branch card, select Edit. 3. Change what you need. 4. Select Save. The branch page also has Last order and Blocked dates. See Close a branch on holidays and stop orders before closing. If you leave the page with changes you have not saved, the dashboard asks you first. Delete a branch 1. Open the branch with Edit. 2. Select More actions (the three dots) at the top, then Delete branch. 3. If the branch has delivery zones, choose one: - Move all the zones to another branch, then pick the branch. - Delete the zones with the branch. 4. Select Delete. Deleting a branch can take up to 5 minutes. A zone that the other branch already has is not copied twice. Rules and limits - Only the Owner and Operations roles see Setup > Branches. - A branch needs a name in English and Arabic, a phone number, an address in both languages, a block, a street, a building, a city and a pin you placed on the map. - Every open day needs both times. - Pickup needs Customers can visit on. - Longest time for an order now applies to delivery orders, not pickup. Common questions Why can't customers choose pickup? Turn on Customers can visit, then Pickup. Pickup is offered only at a branch customers can visit. Why can customers only schedule delivery orders? Preparation plus delivery takes as long as Longest time for an order now, or longer. Raise the number, or shorten the preparation time. If scheduled orders are off, customers cannot order delivery at all at that time. How do I pause a branch for an hour? Select Set as busy on the branch card. See Pause new orders when you are busy. Someone on my team cannot add a branch. Why? Only the Owner and Operations roles can add a branch. Others see "Only the store owner or a manager can add a location." Close a branch on holidays and stop orders before closing

For: Owners, Operations Where: Setup > Branches > Locations > Edit > Last order and Blocked dates Available: Web dashboard · All countries Needs: Owner or Operations role On a holiday the branch is closed, but customers can still pick that day for a scheduled order. And orders that come in at the last minute keep the kitchen open late. Block the days, and set a last order time, once. How it works Both settings are on the branch page: - Blocked dates: days the branch takes no orders. Customers cannot pick these days on your website or app. Checkout refuses them. - Last order: the branch stops new orders a number of minutes before it closes. Each blocked day closes from its opening time until it closes, even after midnight. Blocked dates on a branch, with what each one stops Block dates 1. Go to Setup > Branches > Locations. 2. On the branch card, select Edit. 3. Under Blocked dates, select Block dates. 4. Under Dates, pick one day, or a first and a last day. 5. Under Stop, choose: - Delivery and pickup: no orders at all. - Delivery only: pickup stays open. - Pickup only: delivery stays open. 6. Optional: add a Note, such as "Eid al-Fitr". Only your team sees it. 7. Select Block dates at the bottom of the panel. You see "Dates blocked". This saves at once. You do not need to save the branch. If scheduled orders are already on those days, the panel shows how many under Orders already placed. They are not cancelled. Contact those customers if you cannot serve them. Change or remove blocked dates 1. Find the dates under Blocked dates. 2. Select More, then: - Edit to change the days, what stops, or the note. Then select Save. - Unblock to take orders on those days again. Set the last order time 1. Open the branch with Edit. 2. Under Last order, enter the minutes before closing: - Delivery: for orders now and orders for later. - Pickup: also for beach orders. 3. Leave a field empty to take orders until closing. 4. Select Save at the bottom of the branch page. For example, a branch closes at 23:00 with 30 minutes for delivery. From 22:30, customers cannot place a delivery order for now. They also cannot pick a delivery time after 22:30. Rules and limits | Rule | Limit | |---|---| | Days in one blocked range | 31 at most. Add another range for longer. | | Blocked ranges per branch | 50 at most | | Note | 100 characters at most | | First day | Today or later | | Last order | 5 to 480 minutes, or empty | - Two ranges cannot block the same orders on the same day. - Only the Owner and Operations roles see Setup > Branches. Common questions Do blocked dates cancel orders already placed? No. Orders already scheduled on those days stay. The dashboard tells you how many there are. Can I close the branch only for tonight? Yes. Use Set as busy and Close for today. See Pause new orders when you are busy. A blocked day's night runs after midnight. Is that covered? Yes. A blocked day stays closed until its closing time, even after midnight. The early hours of a blocked day belong to the night before, so they stay open. Set up scheduled orders and limit orders per time slot

For: Owners, Operations Where: Setup > Branches > Order settings > Scheduled orders Available: Web dashboard · All countries Some customers want their order tomorrow at noon, not now. Scheduled orders let them pick a time slot at checkout. Time windows let each branch say when it takes these orders, and how many it can make in each slot. How it works With Allow scheduled orders on, customers choose a time slot at checkout. The slots come from the branch's opening hours, cut into the Default slot length. Customers can book as far ahead as Furthest time ahead. To control a branch more closely, give it its own Time windows. Each window has its own slot length and can limit: - Orders: the most scheduled orders your kitchen takes in each slot, pickup and delivery together. - Deliveries: the most delivery orders your drivers take in each slot. Pickup orders do not count. When a slot is full, your website and app stop offering it, and checkout refuses it. A time window with its slot length and an order limit Turn on scheduled orders 1. Go to Setup > Branches > Order settings. 2. Under Scheduled orders, turn on Allow scheduled orders. 3. Set the Default slot length, for example 30 minutes. 4. Set the Furthest time ahead, for example 7 days. 5. Select Save. Set time windows for a branch 1. Under Time windows, choose the branch. 2. Each day shows its opening hours. Select a window, such as 09:00 – 12:00, to change it. 3. Set From, To and the Slot length. 4. Optional: type a number in Orders, Deliveries, or both. Leave a limit empty for no limit. 5. To add another window on a day, select Add window (the plus sign). 6. To use one day's windows on every open day, select More on that day, then Copy to every open day. 7. Select Save at the bottom of the page. After a change, the branch shows Custom. A branch with no changes shows Opening hours. Go back to the opening hours Select Reset to opening hours, confirm, then select Save. The branch goes back to one window per open day, with no limits. Rules and limits - Time windows show only when Allow scheduled orders is on. - The slot length is from 15 minutes to 24 hours. - A window must stay inside that day's opening hours. Windows on a day cannot overlap. - A custom week needs at least one window. Or reset to opening hours. - Limits count scheduled orders only. Orders for now never count. - An order waiting for online payment holds its place for up to 3 hours. A failed payment frees the place at once. - Cancelled orders free their place. - Orders your team places from the dashboard, and orders an AI agent takes, are accepted even when the slot is full. They still count toward the limit. - A branch without its own windows uses its opening hours, the default slot length and no limit. Common questions A warning says a category is outside the time windows. What does it mean? The category has its own hours, and none of them fall inside a window on those days. Customers cannot schedule an order from that category then. Change the window or the category hours. What if one branch does not save? The others save. You see "The time windows of" and the branch name. Fix that branch and select Save again. How do I stop scheduled orders? Turn off Allow scheduled orders and select Save. Customers can then order for now only. Set preparation time, auto-accept and checkout options

For: Owners, Operations Where: Setup > Branches > Order settings Available: Web dashboard · All countries These settings decide how your orders flow: how long the kitchen needs, how fast someone must accept an order, and what customers do at checkout. They apply to every branch of the store. How it works Setup > Branches > Order settings has four parts. Scheduled orders is explained in Set up scheduled orders and limit orders per time slot. This article covers the other three: | Part | Setting | What it does | |---|---|---| | Timing | Preparation time | The time used for items that have no preparation time of their own. | | | Time to accept an order | You get an alert when an order waits longer than this. | | Checkout | Gift orders | Customers can send an order to someone else and add their details. | | | Phone number check | Whether customers confirm their phone number with a code. | | Workflow | Accept orders automatically | Orders are accepted as soon as they are placed and paid. | The Checkout options: gift orders and the phone number check Set the timing 1. Go to Setup > Branches > Order settings. 2. Under Timing, enter the Preparation time. Choose Minutes, Hours or Days. 3. Enter the Time to accept an order. 4. Select Save. You see "Order settings saved". An item can have its own preparation time in the menu. That time wins over this one. The alert for a waiting order is Order waiting. Choose who gets it in Choose which alerts your team gets. Choose the checkout options 1. Under Checkout, turn Gift orders on or off. 2. Under Phone number check, choose: - No code: the fastest checkout. The order is not tied to a confirmed number, so a wrong or fake number can get through. - One-time code: customers confirm their number with a code. The order goes to their account with saved addresses and past orders. It adds one step. 3. Select Save. Accept orders automatically 1. Under Workflow, turn on Accept orders automatically. 2. Select Save. Each new order is accepted as soon as it is placed and paid. Nobody needs to select Accept Order. The order still rings, so the kitchen knows it is there. Rules and limits - Every time is a whole number, 0 or more. - The settings apply to the whole store, not to one branch. - If your store is connected to a POS, such as Foodics, you cannot change Accept orders automatically. - Only the Owner and Operations roles see Setup > Branches. Common questions Why is the accept time missing in my delivery reports? With Accept orders automatically on, orders are accepted at once, so there is no accept time to measure. Where do I set preparation time for one item? In the item editor. See Add or edit a menu item. Should I ask for a code at checkout? A code stops fake numbers and links each order to the customer's account. No code is faster for customers. Choose by what costs you more: fake orders or lost checkouts.
