Add a delivery zone

For: Owners, Operations Where: Serve > Delivery > Edit zones > Add zone Available: Web dashboard · All countries Customers can order delivery only from an address inside one of your zones. A zone is an area on the map that one or more branches deliver to. Each zone has its own fee, minimum order, delivery time and hours. How it works Each zone belongs to a branch. When a customer enters an address, Zyda finds the zones that cover it. The customer sees that zone's delivery fee, minimum order and delivery time at checkout. When more than one branch covers the address, the order goes to a branch that is open and not busy. If several can deliver, the branch with the lowest delivery fee gets the order. If all of them are busy or closed, the customer can schedule the order or pick it up. You can make a zone in three ways: | Kind | What you do | |---|---| | Draw a shape | Click the map to place the corners of any shape. | | Radius around the branch | Set a distance. The zone covers everything within that distance of the branch. | | Pick from the area catalog | Tick ready-made areas near the branch, such as Salmiya or Hawally. Each area becomes its own zone. | The kinds of zone you can add Add a zone 1. Go to Serve > Delivery and select Edit zones. 2. Choose the branch at the top of the list. 3. Select Add zone. 4. Choose the kind of zone and select Continue. The map opens. 5. Mark the area: - Draw a shape: click the map to place each corner. You need at least three corners. Drag a corner to move it. Select Undo to remove the last corner. Then select Continue. - Radius around the branch: a circle of 1 km opens around the branch. Drag its edge to change the distance. - Pick from the area catalog: tick the areas in Near the branch, or search them in All areas. You can also click an area on the map. Then select Continue. 6. Fill in the details (see below). 7. Select Save. With several catalog areas, the button says Add 3 areas, for example. You see "Zone added", or "3 zones added" for catalog areas. The zone details - Zone Name: the name your team sees, such as Salmiya. Each zone of a branch needs its own name. Catalog areas keep the area's name. - Fulfilled by: the branches that deliver to this zone. Tick more than one to give each ticked branch its own copy of the zone. A radius zone stays with its own branch. - Delivery fee: what the customer pays for delivery. Enter 0 for free delivery. - Minimum order: the smallest order total you accept here. Leave it empty for no minimum. - Delivery time: how long delivery takes, in minutes or hours. - Delivery hours: choose Every day for the same hours each day, or Custom per day. A new zone starts with the branch's opening hours. - Published: on means customers in this zone can order delivery. If your POS sends delivery areas to Zyda, you also see POS External ID. Enter the area's ID from your POS. Find your way on the map - Under Branch, choose one branch or All branches. Each branch has its own colour. - Turn on Hide other branches to see only the chosen branch's zones. - Use Search places to move the map to a street or landmark. - Select List to go back to the zones list. - Click a zone to change its shape or details. See Change a delivery zone. Rules and limits - You must choose one branch before you can add a zone. On the map, All branches cannot add zones. - The delivery fee must be 0 or more. The delivery time must be a whole number of minutes, more than 0. - The delivery time cannot be shorter than your preparation time. It also cannot be longer than how far ahead customers can book, minus two time slots. - In Kuwait, the delivery fee can be KWD 1.000 per order at most. This is the law. - Pick from the area catalog is greyed out when there are no catalog areas near the branch. - If delivery is off for the branch, the list shows "Delivery is off for this branch". Your zones are kept. Select Turn on to take delivery orders again. - A few older stores still have an older zones page. If Edit zones opens a different page, contact Zyda support. Common questions A customer says we do not deliver to them. Why? Their address is not inside a published zone, the zone is outside its delivery hours, or delivery is off for the branch. Check the zone's Status and Delivery hours in the list. Two branches cover the same street. Which one gets the order? A branch that is open and not busy. If both can deliver, the one with the lower delivery fee. What fee should I set in Kuwait? At most KWD 1.000. With your own drivers, Zyda suggests KWD 0.250 when the branch is inside the zone. When the branch is outside the zone, it suggests KWD 0.500. These are suggestions only. Assign your own drivers automatically

For: Owners, Operations, Branch staff Where: Manage > Drivers > Dispatch settings (in Kuwait, Manage > Drivers > Dispatch > Dispatch settings) Available: Web dashboard · All countries Choosing a driver for every order takes time at a busy counter. Zyda can give each accepted order to one of your drivers for you, and tell the driver on WhatsApp. How it works Dispatch settings has three parts: - Own fleet: turns delivery with your own drivers on or off. - Assign drivers automatically: who gets an order once you accept it. - WhatsApp messages to drivers: which steps a driver confirms on WhatsApp. The Own fleet switch and the choices for automatic assignment Turn on your own fleet 1. Go to Manage > Drivers. In Kuwait, select the Dispatch tab. 2. Select Dispatch settings. 3. Turn on Own fleet. It saves at once. The other settings show once Own fleet is on. Only people who can edit Delivery see the Own fleet switch: the Owner and Operations roles. Branch staff can change the other settings once the own fleet is on. Choose who gets each order 1. In Dispatch settings, under Assign drivers automatically, choose one: - In turn: each accepted order goes to the next driver on duty. The driver with the fewest orders in progress goes first. - When the delivery partner declines: the order goes to the next free driver only when a delivery partner declines it. - Don’t assign automatically: you assign each order yourself. 2. Select Save. You see "Dispatch settings saved". Choose what drivers confirm on WhatsApp 1. In Dispatch settings, under WhatsApp messages to drivers, choose one: - Accepted, picked up and delivered: the driver confirms each step. You can see how each driver performs. - Delivered only: the driver confirms only the delivery. Performance cannot be measured. 2. Select Save. When the driver confirms delivered, the order is marked delivered on your dashboard. Rules and limits Zyda turns on In turn or When the delivery partner declines only when: - you have at least one driver, - at least one driver is on duty, - every branch has at least one driver, and - Assign orders automatically for the delivery network is off. If one of these is not true, you see the reason when you save. In turn picks from all your drivers on duty. It does not check which branches the driver takes orders from. Your own drivers and the delivery network cannot both assign orders automatically. Turn one off first. The Delivery processing fee per order and Network discount fields are set by Zyda support. They show only to Zyda staff. Common questions Orders are not assigned automatically. What do I check? Check that at least one driver is On duty. Check that Assign drivers automatically is not set to Don’t assign automatically. With When the delivery partner declines, your drivers get only the orders a partner declined. Can I still pick a driver myself? Yes. You can assign or reassign any order from the order. See Assign a driver or courier to an order. Which WhatsApp option should I choose? Choose Accepted, picked up and delivered to see how each driver performs. With Delivered only, drivers confirm one step, but driver performance cannot be measured. Use the delivery network

For: Owners, Operations, Branch staff Where: Manage > Drivers > Network Available: Web dashboard · Kuwait Without your own drivers, or on a busy night, you still need someone to deliver. The delivery network is a group of delivery companies (partners) near your branches. You can hand them orders from Zyda, one at a time or automatically. How it works Turn on the network, and its partners appear when you assign an order. Each partner shows its pickup time and fee. Each order a partner delivers has a delivery processing fee. Zyda takes it from your payment gateway after the delivery. You choose: - how much of the partner's fee the customer pays, - your default partner, - whether Zyda assigns orders to a partner for you, and how it picks one, - when a late order moves to another partner. Turn on the network 1. Go to Manage > Drivers > Network. 2. Turn on Use the delivery network. Every other setting on the page needs the network on. You can also turn it on from an order. See Assign a driver or courier to an order. Choose what the customer pays 1. Turn on Get delivery fee automatically from courier. 2. Move the What the customer pays slider. It moves in steps of 5%. The line under it says, for example, "Customer pays 60%, you pay 40%." The customer sees the partner's fee and pays your share of it. Toward Maximize Orders, the customer pays less. Toward Maximize Profit Per Order, the customer pays more. It saves when you let go. Choose your default partner Under Delivery partners, select Mark as Default next to a partner. It shows Current Default. Each partner shows its rating and a short description. Partners appear here once they cover your branches. Assign orders to partners automatically 1. Turn on Assign orders automatically. 2. Choose how Zyda picks a partner: - Default: your default partner. - Fastest: the fastest time to pickup. - Cheapest: the cheapest delivery cost. 3. Tick Every branch to turn it on for all branches, and choose once next to it. Or, under Set each branch, tick only some branches and choose for each one. 4. Select Save. Choosing how Zyda picks a partner for each branch Once you accept an order, it goes to a partner. Move late orders to another partner 1. Under Move a late order to another partner, tick one or both: - Reassign after late acceptance: the partner has not accepted the order after this many minutes. Set 3 or more. - Reassign after late arrival: the partner is late to arrive by this many minutes. Set 15 or more. 2. Select Save. You see "Settings saved". Rules and limits - The Network tab shows in the sidebar for stores in Kuwait. - Network automatic assignment and your own drivers' automatic assignment cannot both be on. Turn one off first. See Assign your own drivers automatically. - Turning on network automatic assignment turns off automatic assignment to other courier companies you connected. - The minimum times are 3 minutes for late acceptance and 15 minutes for late arrival. - Partners take cash orders only if your store's online payments go through MyFatoorah. Common questions Who pays the delivery processing fee? Your store pays it, on each order a partner delivers. Zyda takes it from your payment gateway when the partner delivers the order. With MyFatoorah, it comes out of your MyFatoorah balance, for cash orders too. With another gateway, it comes out of the order's online payment. It is not on your monthly invoice. See Understand your fees and payout. Can I still use my own drivers? Yes. Assign any order to your own driver from the order. When a partner declines an order, your own drivers can take it. See Assign your own drivers automatically. Related articles - Assign a driver or courier to an order - Assign your own drivers automatically - Add a delivery zone

Check how delivery is doing

For: Owners, Operations Where: Serve > Delivery, and Serve > Delivery > Performance Available: Web dashboard · All countries Late deliveries cost you repeat customers. See how much you sell by delivery, and how often your deliveries arrive by the time you promised. The Delivery page Serve > Delivery shows the last 30 days against the 30 days before: - Delivery orders, and their share of all your orders. - Delivery sales. - Average order. Under Set up, you see what decides where and by whom you deliver: - Branches delivering: how many branches take delivery orders. Select Branches to change it. - Zones: how many zones you have, and how many are active. Select Edit zones to change them. - Drivers: how many drivers you have, and how many are on duty. Select Drivers to manage them. The badge next to the title says Live when at least one branch delivers, or Not set up. How the on-time report works Serve > Delivery > Performance counts your delivery orders in the dates you choose. A delivery is timed when it had a promised time and its driver, not the branch, marked it delivered. On time means delivered at or before the time promised to the customer. The report counts only timed deliveries for the on-time share. The on-time share, delivery times and the By branch table Read the report 1. Go to Serve > Delivery and select Performance. 2. Choose the dates and, if you want, the branches. 3. Read the cards: - On time: the share of timed deliveries that arrived on time. Under it: "Timed: 120 of 150 deliveries", for example. - Average delivery time and Median delivery time: from order placed to delivered, for ASAP orders. - Average accept time: from order placed to accepted, for ASAP orders. 4. Read On time by day to see which days were late. 5. With more than one branch, read By branch. It lists each branch's deliveries, timed deliveries, on-time share, average and median time, and accept time. The branch with the most deliveries is first. Rules and limits - You need access to both Delivery and Sales. The Owner and Operations roles have it. - You see only the branches your sales access covers. - A day with no timed deliveries shows as a gap in the chart, not as 0%. - If your store accepts orders automatically, Average accept time is not shown. It would always be about zero. - The report has no comparison with an earlier period. Common questions Why are fewer deliveries timed than delivered? A delivery is timed only when it had a promised time and the driver marked it delivered. Orders marked delivered by the branch are not timed. A delivery is not timed either when the driver marked it picked up and delivered less than a minute apart. How do I get more deliveries timed? Assign orders to drivers or couriers, so they mark them delivered. See Assign a driver or courier to an order. What is the median delivery time? The middle value: half of the deliveries took less time, and half took more. A few very late orders change it less than the average.
