Read your sales overview

For: Owners, Operations, Finance, Marketing Where: Understand > Sales > Overview Available: Web dashboard · All countries You want to know how the store is doing, and why. The sales overview shows your main numbers on one page, next to the same numbers for an earlier period. How it works Go to Understand > Sales, then select Overview. The page opens on the last 30 days, compared with the 30 days before. You see one card for each number. Each card shows the change from the earlier period, and the earlier number under it. | Card | What it counts | |---|---| | Net sales | Item sales after item discounts, offers and promo codes. It does not include delivery fees, service fees or tax that is inside your prices. | | Orders | Orders that were accepted. New orders count only after you accept them. | | Average order | Net sales divided by orders. | | Total collected | What customers paid, including delivery fees and tax. | | Discounts | Item discounts, offers, promo codes and loyalty rewards paid in money. | | Customers | Different customers who ordered in these dates. | | New customers | Customers whose first order with you was in these dates. | | Returning customers | Customers who ordered in these dates and had ordered from you before them. | If you sell to businesses on account, you also see On account, still owed and Written off. These show only when the dates have such orders. A green change is good and a red change is bad. Discounts are grey, because more discount is not good or bad by itself. The line under the filters says which dates you compare with, and when the numbers were last updated. The numbers are less than one minute behind your orders. The sales overview: the filter bar and the number cards The days in this report By default, a business day starts at 05:00, not at midnight. An order at 01:00 on Friday counts for Thursday. This keeps a late night in one day. If you accept an order and cancel it on a later day, it counts on the day of the order. Then it is taken off on the day you cancel it. Choose the dates and filters 1. Select the period, for example Last 7 days or This month. 2. To pick your own dates, select Custom. Choose the first and last day, then select Apply. You can pick up to 93 days, and no day after today. 3. In the comparison list, choose vs previous period, vs same days last year or No comparison. 4. Select Order date or Due date. With Due date, a scheduled order counts on the day it is due. 5. Optional: narrow the report with Branches, Channels, Order types or Payment methods. Tick one or more values in each. 6. To clear the filters, select Reset. It shows once you change a filter. Branches shows only when you can see more than one branch. The filters are saved in the page address. Copy the address to share the same report with your team. A team member sees only the branches they have access to. Read the charts Sales over time draws each business day. For a one-day period, it draws each hour. Select Net sales or Orders to choose what it draws. The earlier period is drawn as a second line. Busy hours shows each weekday and hour as a square. A darker square has more orders, or more sales. Select Orders or Net sales to choose what it counts. The line under it names your busiest hour. Busy hours: orders by weekday and hour Use Busy hours to plan staff, or to pick quiet hours for an offer. Read the breakdowns Under the charts, four tables split your net sales: - By branch (only if you have more than one branch) - By channel: Storefront (your website), App (your own app), Manual (orders your team takes), Dyma (the Dyma app) and AI agent (orders Zyda's AI agent takes) - By order type: Delivery, Pickup, Dine-in and Beach - By payment method Each table shows Net sales, Change, Share and Orders for each row. The biggest row is first. If you filter to one channel, the channel table is hidden, because it would show one row only. Rules and limits - You need view access to sales. The Owner, Operations, Finance and Marketing roles have it. - You see only the branches you have access to. - A period is 1 to 93 days. - This page has no export. To export sales by day, use Trends. Common questions Why is the overview different from Trends? They count in different ways: - The overview starts each day at 05:00. Trends starts each day at midnight. - The overview includes today. Trends leaves out today unless you tick Include today. - The overview takes out tax that is inside your prices. Trends keeps it in net sales. - If you cancel an order on a later day, the overview takes it off on the day you cancel. Trends takes it off the day of the order. Why are net sales lower than what I collected? Net sales leave out delivery fees, service fees and tax that is inside your prices. Total collected includes them. I see "Customer counts are not available for this range". What does it mean? Zyda could not count customers for these dates. The other numbers are complete. Where is my end-of-day report? Use the closing report. See Close the day with the closing report. See sales trends by day or month

For: Owners, Operations, Finance, Marketing Where: Understand > Sales > Trends Available: Web dashboard · All countries One good week does not make a trend. Trends draws your sales day by day or month by month. You see if they grow, next to last period and last year. How it works When you select Understand > Sales, the Trends page opens. It shows four cards: - Net Sales: item sales after item discounts, offers and promo codes, without delivery fees or service fees. - Average Order Value: net sales divided by orders. - Total Orders: accepted orders. - Total Customers: different customers who ordered. Each card shows the change from the previous period. Select a card to draw that number in the chart. The chart has three lines: Selected Period, Previous Period and Previous Year. Under the chart, you see the total of each period. To see how these numbers are counted, point to the i button next to the page title. Trends: the four cards and the chart Choose the dates 1. Select the date list. Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days or All time. 2. To pick your own dates, choose Pick dates. Choose the first and last day, then select Apply. 3. Tick Include today to add today to the period. Without it, the period ends yesterday. Today shows in the list only when Include today is ticked. Change the chart - Select Day or Month to draw one point for each day or each month. - Select Selected Period, Previous Period or Previous Year to show or hide that line. Previous Year is hidden when the page opens. See every day in a table 1. Select View Full Report under the chart. 2. The table shows one row for each day: Date, Sales, Avg. order, Orders and Customers. 3. Select Day or Month to change the rows. 4. Select a column title to sort by it. Select it again to reverse the order. 5. To get the file, select Export. The file downloads to your computer. The table shows 30 rows on each page. Rules and limits - You need view access to sales. - Export needs the Download reports permission. The Owner, Operations and Finance roles have it. - Only accepted orders count. A new order counts once you accept it. A cancelled order is taken out of the day it was placed. - A day runs from midnight to midnight in your store's time. An order counts on the day it was placed. Common questions Why does Trends not match the overview? The two pages count in different ways: - Trends starts each day at midnight. The overview starts each day at 05:00. - Trends leaves out today unless you tick Include today. The overview includes today. - Trends keeps tax that is inside your prices in net sales. The overview takes it out. See Read your sales overview. Why don't I see Export? Your role does not include Download reports. Ask the store owner for a role that has it. Roles are in Setup > Team > Roles. Related articles - Read your sales overview - Find your best-selling items and categories - Compare sales by branch and delivery area

Find your best-selling items and categories

For: Owners, Operations, Finance, Marketing Where: Understand > Sales > Items Available: Web dashboard · All countries Some items carry your menu, and some only take space. The Items report ranks what you sell, so you know what to promote, what to price again and what to remove. How it works Go to Understand > Sales, then select Items. The Items tab lists your items from the highest sales to the lowest. For each item, you see: - Sold: how many were sold. - Orders: how many orders had the item. - Sales: the item's sales in these dates. The first page shows your top 10. Use the arrows under the table to see the next 10. The Categories tab shows the same numbers for each menu category. The Items report: items ranked by sales Rank your items 1. Go to Understand > Sales > Items. 2. Choose the dates, for example Last 30 days or Pick dates. Tick Include today to add today. 3. Select Items or Categories. 4. Read the list from the top. Rank 1 has the highest sales. Export the list 1. Open the tab you want: Items or Categories. 2. Select Export. 3. Zyda emails you the full list for the dates you chose. You see "Best selling items report will be delivered to your email" or "Top Categories Report will be delivered to your email". Rules and limits - You need view access to sales. - Export needs the Download reports permission. The Owner, Operations and Finance roles have it. - Only accepted orders count. A new order counts once you accept it. - The dates stay the same when you move between Trends, Items, Areas and Report. Common questions Which items are often ordered together? Select the Bought together tab. See See which items customers buy together. An item has a high Sold number but few Orders. Why? Customers order several of it at once. For example, 3 orders of 4 juices each show Sold 12 and Orders 3. Related articles - See which items customers buy together - See sales trends by day or month - Add or edit a menu item

See which items customers buy together

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Understand > Sales > Items > Bought together Available: Web dashboard · All countries When customers often order two items together, you can sell them as a combo or suggest one with the other. Bought together finds those pairs in your own orders. How it works Go to Understand > Sales > Items, then select the Bought together tab. You see up to 20 pairs. The pair with the most orders comes first. For each pair, you see: | Column | What it means | |---|---| | Pair | The two items, for example Burger + Fries. | | Orders with both | How many orders had both items. | | Also in the order | Two lines. For example, "62% of Burger orders also have Fries", and the same the other way. | | Compared with chance | How much more often the two share an order than if customers picked them at random. | Compared with chance reads one of three ways: - "Bought together 2.4× more often than chance": a strong pair. Customers pick them as a set. - "About as often as chance": both items are popular, but one does not bring the other. - "Less often than chance": customers seldom take both. Bought together: pairs of items and how often they share an order Find your pairs 1. Go to Understand > Sales > Items. 2. Select Bought together. 3. Choose the period, for example Last 30 days, or select Custom for your own dates (up to 93 days). 4. Optional: narrow the orders with Branches, Channels, Order types or Payment methods. 5. Read the pairs from the top. To use a pair, make it a combo, or create an offer for it. See Create a combo meal. Rules and limits - A pair shows only when at least 5 orders had both items. This keeps out pairs that met by chance. - Cancelled orders are left out. - An item that is twice in one order counts once for that order. - A very large order, with more than 50 different items, adds no pairs. This keeps catering and business orders from filling the list. - An item you deleted shows as "Item no longer on the menu". - You need view access to sales. There is no export on this tab. Common questions I see "No two items were bought together in 5 orders or more". Why? Your period has too few orders with the same two items. Choose a longer period, or clear a filter. Why does a popular pair say "About as often as chance"? Both items are in many orders. They often meet in the same order, but one does not make customers take the other. Find customers by segment

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Understand > Customers > Profiles Available: Web dashboard · All countries Your best customers and the ones you are losing need different messages. The Customers page puts every customer in a segment, so you can find each group in one click. How it works Go to Understand > Customers. The Profiles page opens. The number next to the title is how many customers you have. A customer is one phone number. If a customer ordered as a guest and later with an account on the same number, they are one customer. Customers with no order are not listed. Each customer is in one of six segments. Zyda places them by the date of their last order and by how many orders they placed: | Segment | Last order | Orders | |---|---|---| | Champions | In the last 7 days | 3 or more | | Loyal | 8 to 90 days ago | 3 or more | | New | In the last 30 days | 1 or 2 | | Promising | 31 to 90 days ago | 1 or 2 | | Needs Attention | 91 to 180 days ago | Any | | Needs Attention | Over 180 days ago | 2 or more | | Low Value | Over 180 days ago | 1 | The page works out each segment again every time it opens. When a customer orders again, or time passes without an order, they move to another segment. Each segment card shows how many customers are in it, and their share of all customers. The Customers page: the segment cards above the list See one segment 1. Go to Understand > Customers. 2. Select a segment card, for example Needs Attention. The list shows only its customers. 3. To see everyone again, select the same card again. Search and filter the list 1. In the list next to the search box, choose Name or Phone number. 2. Type in Search customers, then press Enter. 3. Optional: select Branches to keep customers who ordered from some branches. 4. Optional: select Zones to keep customers who got deliveries in some zones. Pickup-only customers have no zone. 5. To clear the segment, search and filters, select Reset. A phone number search takes digits only. Sort the list Select a column title to sort by it: First Order, Last Order, Total Orders or Total Sales. Select it again to reverse the order. The list opens sorted by Last Order, newest first. The list shows 15 customers on each page. Open a customer Select a customer to open their details on the side. To open the full page, select … at the end of the row, then View Profile. See Look up a customer and their orders. Export the list 1. Optional: select Branches or Zones. 2. Select Export. 3. Zyda emails the file to you. You see "Customers report has been sent to your email". The file uses the Branches and Zones filters. It does not use the segment or the search. Send a campaign to a segment Kuwait stores see Create campaign at the top of the page. To choose a segment for a campaign, see Choose who gets a campaign. A campaign uses a saved copy of each customer's segment. Zyda updates the copy every 30 minutes for customers who just ordered, and every night for customers who ordered in the last 6 months. So a campaign count can differ a little from the cards. Rules and limits - You need access to customers. The Owner, Operations and Marketing roles have it. - Total Sales shows only if you also have view access to sales. Without it, you see a dash, and you cannot sort by it. - Export needs the Download customer lists permission. The Owner and Operations roles have it. - Deleted customer accounts are not listed. Common questions Why does the segment total match the header number? Each customer is in exactly one segment. The six cards add up to the number next to the title. Can I move a customer to another segment? No. Zyda sets the segment from the customer's orders. It changes when they order again, or as time passes without an order. Block a customer's phone number

For: Owners, Operations Where: Understand > Customers > select a customer > Block number Available: Web dashboard · All countries Some numbers place fake orders, or orders they never collect. Block the number, and it cannot order from your store again until you unblock it. How it works When you block a number: - Your website does not send a sign-in code to that number. - An order from that number is refused. The customer sees "We can't take orders from this number. Please contact the store." - Zyda's AI agent does not take orders from it either. - If your team types the number in a phone order, they see "This number is blocked." The block is for your store only. The customer can still order from other stores on Zyda. The customer stays in your customer list, with a Blocked badge. Blocking a number: the confirm window with a reason Block a number 1. Go to Understand > Customers. 2. Find the customer and select them. The customer panel opens. 3. Select Block number. 4. Other roles do not see the button. - The reason can be up to 500 characters. - You block a phone number, not a person. A customer with a new number can still order. Common questions I see "Only the owner or an operations manager can block numbers." Why? Your role cannot block numbers. Ask someone with the Owner or Operations role. Does blocking cancel the customer's open orders? No. Blocking stops new orders only. To stop an open order, see Cancel or reject an order.
