Change how your online store looks

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Editor Available: Web dashboard · All countries You want to change your store website, but you do not want customers to see a half-finished change. The storefront editor saves your changes as unpublished changes. You check them in a preview, then publish them all at once. How it works The editor has two parts: - On the left: the list of things you can change, in groups. Select one to open its settings. Select the back arrow to return to the list. - On the right: a preview of your store with your changes. Your changes do not go to your live store at once. They are saved as Unpublished changes. Customers see them only after you select Publish. The badge at the top tells you where you are: | Badge | What it means | |---|---| | Saving… | A change is on its way. Wait before you publish or leave. | | Unpublished changes | You have changes that customers do not see yet. | | Published | Your live store shows everything you changed. | The top of the storefront editor: Undo, Redo, the Unpublished changes badge, Discard and Publish What you can change | Group | Section | What it changes | |---|---|---| | Start | Style | Colours and fonts in a few clicks. See Set your store's colours and fonts. | | Start | Looks | A ready-made layout for your whole store. | | Start | Version history | Earlier published versions. | | Theme | Colors, Typography | Every colour and font, one by one. | | Header | Navigation | The top of your store, the menu links and the phone bottom bar. | | Home page | Landing, Home page | What customers see first. See Build your store's home page. | | Catalog | Layout, Product cards | How your menu and products look. See Choose how your menu looks. | | Ordering | Delivery | Whether customers see your delivery zones on the map. | | Footer & pages | Footer, Pages | The bottom of every page, and your own pages. | Some sections have a Save button at the end. Others save each change at once and say "Changes here save as you make them." In both cases, the change goes into your unpublished changes, not to your live store. Check your changes in the preview The preview shows your store with your unpublished changes. It shows your home page, your menu page if you have a custom home page, and each published page you added. Use the bar above the preview: - Select the screen icon or the phone icon to see the computer or the phone version. - Select EN or العربية to see your store in that language. The text boxes in the editor then change in that language. - Select the zoom buttons to make the preview bigger or smaller. - Select Visit store to open your live store in a new tab. - Select the panel icon to hide or show the settings and give the preview more room. Publish your changes 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Editor. 2. Make your changes. 3. Check them in the preview, on the computer and the phone, in both languages. 4. Select Publish. The badge changes to Published. Customers see the changes the next time they open your store. Undo a change - Select Undo to go back one step. Select Redo to go forward again. - You can also press Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac) to undo, and Shift+Ctrl+Z (Shift+⌘+Z) to redo. Inside a text box, these keys undo your typing instead. Undo and Redo wait while a change is saving, and while a section has changes you did not save yet. Throw away all your unpublished changes 1. Select Discard. 2. Select Discard again to confirm. Your editor goes back to what customers see now. You cannot undo this. Go back to an earlier version Each time you publish new colours, fonts or layout, Zyda keeps a version. A version holds your colours, fonts and corners, and the layout when it shows Includes layout. It does not hold your home page sections, pages, menu links or footer. 1. Open Start > Version history. 2. Find the version by its date and time. Includes layout means it also has the layout from that time. 3. Select Restore to draft, then Restore to draft again. 4. Check the preview, then select Publish. Your live store does not change until you publish. To keep a version easy to find, select the pin icon next to it. It then shows Pinned. Start from a ready-made look A look sets the layout of your whole store, such as wide pages and large photos. It does not change your colours. 1. Open Start > Looks. 2. In the preview area, choose a look: Spacious, Edge-to-edge grid, Centered boutique, Compact catalog or Bold hero. 3. Select Use this look. 4. Check your pages, then select Publish. You can also describe the look you want, such as "a bold, dark hero", and select Suggest. Zyda picks a look that fits and adds it to your unpublished changes. To go back to Zyda's default layout, select Reset layout under Reset layout to defaults. Your colours, fonts, photos and videos stay. Rules and limits - You need the storefront permission. The Owner, Operations and Marketing roles have it. - Your logo, cover photo and the words on the Branding page do not wait for Publish. They change your store as soon as you save them. See Add your logo, cover and store name. - A custom font file and a home page video upload at once, but your store uses them only after you publish. - If you leave the editor while a change is saving, the dashboard asks you first. Common questions I changed my store, but customers still see the old one. Why? Your changes are waiting. The badge says Unpublished changes. Select Publish. Can I undo a change after I published it? For colours, fonts and layout, yes. Open Version history, select Restore to draft on the version before it, then select Publish. For home page sections, pages, menu links and the footer, change them back by hand and publish again. Can two people edit at the same time? Yes, but they share one set of unpublished changes. When one person publishes, the changes of both go live. Set your store's colours and fonts

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Editor > Style Available: Web dashboard · All countries Your store should look like your brand, but choosing a dozen colours and fonts that work together is hard. Style does most of it for you: it reads your logo, or starts from one colour, and keeps text easy to read. How it works Style is the first section in the editor. It has four parts: - Styles from your logo: Zyda reads the colours in your logo and makes three styles. Each style has colours, fonts and a layout. - Start from one colour: you pick your brand colour, and Zyda chooses the other colours. - Fonts: you pick a heading font and a text font that work together. - Text size: you make every text on your store bigger or smaller. Everything you choose goes into your unpublished changes. Customers see it after you select Publish. If you changed some colours or fonts by hand, a style does not change them. The panel lists them under Your edits are kept. The badge Custom next to Style means you have edits of your own. Style: three styles made from your logo, each with Use this style Make styles from your logo You need a logo first. Add it in Setup > Storefront > Branding. 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Editor and open Start > Style. 2. Select Generate from my logo. This can take up to 30 seconds. 3. Look at the three styles. Each one shows a sample with its colours and fonts. 4. Select Use this style on the one you like. It shows In your changes. 5. Check the preview, then select Publish. To get three new styles, select Try again. On your store: the selected category and the item count take your brand colour Start from one colour 1. In Start from one colour, select the colour box next to Brand colour and pick your colour. 2. Optional: select Add a second colour for a highlight colour. 3. Choose a Background: White or Tinted. 4. Look at the sample. Readable means text on these colours is easy to read. Hard to read means some text has too little contrast. 5. Select Apply. Choose your fonts Each font pair is shown in its own fonts and your colours. 1. Under Fonts, select a pair, such as Clean modern or Classic serif. 2. The pair in use shows In use. A font pair changes the fonts and how round the corners are. Your colours stay. Change the text size Move the Text size slider from 80% to 150%. The change saves when you let go. Keep or replace your own edits After you use a style, Your edits are kept lists what you set by hand, such as Heading font (English). - To keep them, do nothing. - To use the style there too, select Use the style everywhere. - To reset one field, open Colors or Typography and select Reset to style under it. Set every colour and font by hand Colors and Typography are the advanced settings. Select their links at the top of Style, or open them under Theme. Colors: each colour has a box. Select it and pick a colour. The groups are Base, Primary, Card, Secondary, Accent, Muted, Destructive, Popover and Border & Input. "Low contrast — may be hard to read" means the text on that colour is hard to read. Select the reset icon to go back to the saved colour. Typography: - Sans-serif (body): the font for normal text, in English and in Arabic. - Serif (headings): the font for headings, in English and in Arabic. - Radius: how round the corners of buttons and cards are. - Base text size: Default, Large or Extra large. Select Save at the end of the panel. Then select Publish. Upload your own fonts Under Custom fonts, you can upload your own fonts. There is one place for headings and one for text, in English and in Arabic. 1. Type the font family name in the box, for example Riwaya. Use letters, numbers, spaces and dashes. 2. Choose the weight, from 300 to 700. 3. Select Upload .woff2 and pick the file. 4. Select Save, then Publish. Your font replaces the font you picked for that place. Rules and limits - Generate from my logo needs a logo. If Zyda cannot read colours from it, use Start from one colour. - You can make styles from your logo up to 30 times a day for each store. The count starts again at midnight UTC (3 AM in Kuwait). A failed try does not count. - While Colors or Typography has changes you did not save, Style waits. Save them first. - A custom font must be a .woff2 file under 5 MB. Common questions Will a style remove the colours I set myself? No. It keeps them and lists them under Your edits are kept. Select Use the style everywhere to replace them. Why does Generate from my logo say "Try again tomorrow"? You made styles too many times today. Try again tomorrow, or use Start from one colour. Can I go back to my old colours? Yes. Select Undo, or select Discard before you publish. After you publish, use Version history. Build your store's home page

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Editor > Home page Available: Web dashboard · All countries By default, your store opens on your menu. You can open it on a home page you design instead: a large banner, your best collections, your story and your branches. How it works You set this in two sections of the editor, under Home page: - Landing: what customers see first, and what they do before they browse. - Home page: the sections on your custom home page, and your best sellers. Under Landing, What customers see sums up your choices in one sentence and a list of steps, such as "Customers land on your homepage. They open the menu when they're ready." Landing: the Homepage choice and What customers see Choose what customers see first 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Editor and open Home page > Landing. 2. Choose your settings: - Custom homepage: on to open on the home page you build. Off to open on your menu. - Require customers to choose a branch before browsing the menu: on if your branches have different menus, prices or items. Customers pick a branch first. With one branch, this does nothing. - Homepage: Menu first, or Brand hero for a large banner of your brand with your menu right below it. 3. Read What customers see. 4. Select Publish. These settings save as you change them. They go into your unpublished changes. Add a video behind your brand With Brand hero, you can add a video that plays behind your brand. 1. Under Homepage, choose Brand hero. 2. Under Background video, select Upload video and pick the file. Or select Paste a link instead and paste an https link that ends in .mp4 or .webm. 3. Optional: under Phone video (optional), upload a lighter portrait video for phones. Without it, phones play the computer video. 4. Select Publish. The video always plays without sound, again and again. For a good video: - Keep it 6 to 15 seconds long. Start and end on the same shot. - Keep text and logos out of it. Your brand shows on top. - Computer: landscape 16:9, 1920 × 1080, MP4, up to 10 MB. - Phone: portrait 9:16, 1080 × 1920, MP4, up to 6 MB. A video longer than 30 seconds cannot be used. The editor also warns you when a video is too small, the wrong shape, or a length other than 6 to 15 seconds. Build your home page from sections 1. Turn on Custom homepage in Landing. 2. Open Home page > Home page. 3. Select Add section and choose a section. 4. Fill in its settings. The text boxes are in the language you chose above the preview. Switch to the other language and fill them in again. 5. Under Appearance, choose the width, the background colour and the space above and below. 6. Use the arrows to move a section up or down. Select the remove icon to delete it. 7. Select Save, then Publish. Home page sections: the list of sections and Add section The sections you can add: | Section | What it shows | |---|---| | Hero | A full-width banner with a heading and a button. Add up to 6 Slide blocks for a slideshow. | | Featured collection | The products of one category. | | Tabbed collections | Up to 6 categories as tabs, each with its products and a "View all" link. | | Text | A heading and a paragraph. | | Multicolumn | Up to 6 cards with a picture, a heading and text, such as your story or what makes you different. | | Image with text | One picture beside a heading, a paragraph and a button. | | Call to action | A heading and a button to a web or email link, such as WhatsApp. | | Branches | Up to 12 branch cards with a picture, address, opening hours and map link. | | FAQ | Up to 30 questions and answers that open when tapped. | | Contact form | A form for name, phone and message that opens WhatsApp or email. | On your store: a Hero banner with a heading and a button Add pictures to a section - Drag a picture onto the box, or select it to upload one. Use an image file under 10 MB. - Or paste the link of a picture. Show your best sellers In Home page > Home page, turn on Display Best Selling products. Your store then shows your top-selling products on your menu page. This saves as you change it. Rules and limits - The sections show on your store only when Custom homepage is on and you saved the sections. - Brand hero replaces the custom home page on your website. Your menu shows right below the banner. - Button links must start with https://, mailto: or be a link inside your store. - A Hero button can go to your menu or to one category. Common questions I added sections, but my store still opens on the menu. Why? Turn on Custom homepage in Landing, then select Publish. Can I use the same sections on other pages? Yes. Your own pages use the same sections. See Add pages to your store. Where do I add a top bar or a popup? In Grow > Banners. See Show a banner or popup on your store. Choose how your menu looks

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Editor > Catalog Available: Web dashboard · All countries A café with 12 items and a grocery with 400 need different menus. You choose how customers move through your categories and how each product card looks. How it works Two sections of the editor set the menu, under Catalog: - Layout: the store language, how categories and products are laid out, and how customers browse. - Product cards: how each product looks in a list or a grid. Both save each change as you make it. The changes go into your unpublished changes, and customers see them after you select Publish. While you edit these sections, the preview shows a sample of your menu. Catalog > Layout: category navigation as Images, with the image shape Circle or Square Lay out your categories and products 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Editor and open Catalog > Layout. 2. Under Default language, choose the language your store opens in: English or العربية. 3. Select Publish. Show or hide delivery zones on the map 1. Open Ordering > Delivery. 2. Turn Show delivery zones on the map on or off. When it is on, customers see your zones on the map and can pick one from a list. When it is off, customers see a map with an address search only. Delivery works the same, and your zone names stay hidden. You set the zones and fees in Serve > Delivery. Rules and limits - Grid columns (desktop), Image ratio and Edge-to-edge cards work when Products is Grid. - Image shape, Layout (desktop) and “All items” chip show only when Category navigation is Images. - A look from Start > Looks changes many of these settings at once. Set up your header, bottom bar and footer

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Editor > Navigation, Footer Available: Web dashboard · All countries Customers find their way around your store from the top, the bottom of the phone screen, and the footer. You choose what each one holds. How it works - Header > Navigation sets the top of your store: the logo, the menu links, and the bottom bar on phones. - Footer & pages > Footer sets the bottom of every page. Each has a Save button at the end. One save puts all the changes in that section into your unpublished changes. Customers see them after you select Publish. Place your logo 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Editor and open Header > Navigation. 2. Under Header style, choose: - Overlay header on hero: the header is see-through over your home page banner, and turns solid when customers scroll. - Round logo: shows your logo in a circle. Turn it off for a square or wide logo. - Logo position: Left or Center. - Logo width: drag to make room for a wide logo, up to 320 px. Default keeps the normal size. 3. Select Save, then Publish. Add links to the top menu 1. Under Header navigation, select Add link. 2. Type the Label. It is in the language you chose above the preview. Switch language and type the other one. 3. Under Links to, choose where it goes: Home, All products, Category, Product, Page, Web address or Email. 4. For a category, product or page, choose which one. For a web address or email, type it. 5. Use the arrows to change the order. Select the remove icon to delete a link. 6. Select Save, then Publish. Add a bottom bar for phones A bottom bar stays at the bottom of the phone screen, so customers reach your menu and cart with one tap. 1. Turn on Mobile bottom navigation. 2. Optional: turn on Dark bottom navigation for light icons on a dark bar in your colours. 3. Under Tabs, set 3 to 5 tabs. For each tab: - Select the icon to choose another one. - Type the Label. - Under Links to, choose Home, Menu (catalog), Cart, Search, Rewards, Wallet, Auto · loyalty, WhatsApp, Category, Product, Page or Custom URL. 4. Check the Preview row. 5. Select Save, then Publish. The first time, the bar has Home, Menu, Cart, an Auto · loyalty tab named Rewards, and WhatsApp. Navigation: the bottom bar tabs, each with an icon, a label and where it goes On a phone: the bottom bar with Home, Menu, Cart, Rewards and WhatsApp What some tabs do: - Cart shows how many items are in the cart. - Auto · loyalty opens Rewards if you have a loyalty program, else Wallet if you have cashback, else Search. - WhatsApp uses the WhatsApp icon. It opens your WhatsApp link from Web links. Without one, it uses a WhatsApp link from Link in bio, then the WhatsApp number you connected to Zyda. With none of these, the tab is hidden. See Add your social and WhatsApp links. Set up the footer 1. Open Footer & pages > Footer. 2. Optional: turn on Dark footer for light text on a dark footer in your colours. This saves at once. 3. Type the Footer text, in each language. 4. Under Footer links, select Add link and add links the same way as the top menu. For example: About us, Contact, Catering. 5. Select Save, then Publish. The footer also shows your social icons, your branch phone numbers, your branches and your policies. If you add no footer links, it shows the same links as the top menu. Rules and limits - The bottom bar shows on phones only. - The bottom bar needs 3 to 5 tabs. Each tab needs a label, and a destination when it links to a category, product, page or web address. - Every menu link needs a name and a destination. - The footer text here is the same text as Footer on the Branding page. Common questions Why can't I save my bottom bar? Check the message. A tab may have no label, or a linked tab may have no destination. Why does my WhatsApp tab not show? Your store has no WhatsApp link and no connected WhatsApp number. Or your WhatsApp link on Web links uses the Website URL type, which the tab cannot use. Add a link with the WhatsApp type in Setup > Storefront > Web links. Add pages to your store

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Editor > Footer & pages > Pages Available: Web dashboard · All countries Customers want to know your story, your catering offer or your opening hours. Put each one on its own page of your store, with its own web address. How it works A page is built from the same sections as your home page: banners, text, pictures, branches, questions and a contact form. Each page has an address that ends in /pages/ and a name you choose, such as /pages/our-story. A page shows on your store when two things are true: - Its Published switch is on. - You selected Publish at the top of the editor after you saved it. While you edit a page, the preview shows that page. Pages: a page with its title, address and Published switch Create a page 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Editor and open Footer & pages > Pages. 2. Select Add page. 3. Type the Page title. It is in the language you chose above the preview. Switch language and type the other one. 4. Check the URL handle. Zyda makes it from the English title. Use lowercase letters, numbers and dashes. 5. Turn on Published. 6. Select Add section and build the page. See Build your store's home page for the sections. 7. Select Save. The editor goes back to the list of pages. 8. Select Publish. On your store: an Our story page with a text section and questions Link to your page A page does not show in your menu by itself. Add a link to it: - In the top menu or the footer: add a link, and choose Page under Links to. See Set up your header, bottom bar and footer. - In the phone bottom bar: add a tab that links to Page. Edit or delete a page 1. Open Footer & pages > Pages. 2. Select the page in the list. Each row shows Published or Draft. 3. Change it and select Save, or select Delete and then Delete again. 4. Select Publish. After you publish a deletion, customers can no longer open the page. Rules and limits - A page needs a URL handle. The address can be at most 60 characters. - Button and picture links must start with https://, mailto: or be a link inside your store. - A page with Published off stays hidden from customers, even after you publish. Common questions I created a page, but customers cannot find it. Why? Check three things: Published is on, you selected Publish, and a menu, footer or bottom bar link points to it. Can I change a page's address later? If you change the URL handle of a saved page, Zyda saves a new page with the new address. The page with the old address stays. Delete it if you do not need it. Add your logo, cover and store name

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Branding Available: Web dashboard · All countries Your logo and name tell customers they are in the right place. Add them once on the Branding page, and they show on your store, your QR code and your link in bio page. How it works The Branding page has two parts: - Images: your logo and your cover photo. They upload as soon as you pick them. - Name and text: the page title, the slogan and the footer text. They change when you select Save. These changes go to your live store at once. They do not wait for Publish in the editor. Branding: your logo and your header cover Upload your logo and cover 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Branding. 2. Under Logo, select the box and pick a square picture, up to 5 MB. 3. Under Header cover, select the box and pick a wide picture, up to 5 MB. Each picture uploads at once. To stop an upload, select Cancel. To change a picture, select it again. Set your store's name and text 1. Under Page title, type the title for the browser tab and search results, in English and in Arabic. Leave one empty to use your store name. 2. Optional: turn on Hide the store name to hide your store name at the top of your store. Use this when your logo already shows your name. 3. Under Slogan, type a short line that shows under your name. Select Add Arabic text to type the Arabic. 4. Under Footer, type the text for the bottom of your store. 5. Select Save. You see "Store information updated successfully". If you leave the page with changes you did not save, the dashboard asks you first. Where your logo shows - At the top of your store. To make it round or wider, see Set up your header, bottom bar and footer. - In the middle of your QR code, if you turn it on. - On your link in bio page. - In Style, where Generate from my logo reads its colours. Rules and limits - Each picture can be up to 5 MB. - The footer text here is the same text as Footer text in the editor. If you change it in the editor, publish to see it on your store. Common questions My logo looks cut off. What can I do? Use a square logo with space around it. If your logo is wide, turn off Round logo and set Logo width in Header > Navigation in the editor. Why did my upload fail? A picture over 5 MB does not upload, and the page tells you so. Pick a smaller picture. If the page says "File has failed to upload", the connection may have dropped. Try again. Related articles - Set your store's colours and fonts - Set up your header, bottom bar and footer - Make a QR code for your store - Create a link in bio page

Add your social and WhatsApp links

For: Owners, Operations, Marketing Where: Setup > Storefront > Web links Available: Web dashboard · All countries Customers who like your food want to follow you and message you. Add your social pages and WhatsApp once, and your store shows them on every page. How it works You add each link with a title and a type, such as Instagram or WhatsApp. Your store then shows: - An icon for each Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok link, in the footer. - A WhatsApp button at the bottom corner of your store's pages, from your WhatsApp link. - The WhatsApp tab in the phone bottom bar, if you added one. The page also lets you add Website URL, SMS, Phone and Email links. Your store saves them, but it does not show them to customers. The footer shows your branch phone numbers instead. Links save at once. They do not wait for Publish in the editor. Web links: add a link with its title and type On your store: your social icons in the footer Add a link 1. Go to Setup > Storefront > Web links. 2. Select Add link. 3. Type the Title, for example "Follow us on Instagram". The Arabic title copies it. To type a different Arabic title, select Add Arabic text. 4. Choose the Type: Website URL, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Tiktok, WhatsApp, SMS, Phone or Email. 5. Fill in the field for that type: - For a social page, type your user name only. The start of the address, such as instagram.com/, is already there. - For WhatsApp, SMS or Phone, choose the country code and type the number. For SMS, also type the message. - For Email, type the email address. 6. Select Save. Change, sort or delete a link - To change a link, select Edit on its row. - To change the order, drag the handle at the start of the row. Or select … and then Move up or Move down. - To delete a link, select …, then Delete, and select Delete again. Customers stop seeing it on your store. Where your WhatsApp button gets its number Your store uses the first of these it finds: 1. The WhatsApp link on this page. 2. A WhatsApp link on your link in bio page. 3. The WhatsApp number you connected to Zyda. Always use the WhatsApp type for your WhatsApp number. A Website URL link to wa.me or whatsapp.com does not show on your store. It also stops your store from using the link in bio link and the connected number, so your store shows no WhatsApp button at all. Rules and limits - Your store shows only the social and WhatsApp links. Website URL, SMS, Phone and Email links are saved, but customers do not see them on your store or in your store app. - Every link needs a title. If you do not type an Arabic title, the English one is used. - These links are not the same as your link in bio links. See Create a link in bio page. Common questions Why is there no WhatsApp button on my store? Your store has no WhatsApp link and no connected WhatsApp number. Or your WhatsApp link uses the Website URL type. Add a link with the WhatsApp type here, and delete the Website URL one. Why don't customers see my phone number or website link? Your store shows only social and WhatsApp links.
